Art Galleries & Museums

Flagler Beach has a vibrant, community-driven art scene that blends coastal inspiration with small-town charm. Local galleries like the Gallery of Local Art (GOLA), Baliker Gallery, Art LaMay Studio, and Pineapple Gallery showcase works by dozens of area artists in media ranging from painting and mixed media to jewelry, pottery, and coastal nature pieces.  First Friday art walk-style events, artist receptions, and juried shows give people recurring opportunities to engage with art, meet creators, and enjoy new exhibitions.

Down to Earth Pottery

This is a working ceramic studio with sweeping views of the Atlantic.  It is run by Heather Wales, a clay artist and instructor with over 25-30 years of experience. The studio offers classes for all skill levels, with everything from multi-week sessions in wheel throwing and hand-building to one-off “play with clay” workshops.  It also provides open studio/studio time for more experienced students to work independently.  In addition to the pottery work, there’s a gallery and gift shop featuring handmade pieces, as well as custom offerings such as walkway pavers.

The Baliker Gallery

This Palm Coast gallery is the studio and showcase of sculptor Paul Baliker.   This is truly an amazing, one-of-a-kind experience. Baliker works primarily in wood and bronze, creating life-sized, monumental, and often functional sculptures that draw heavily on natural themes such as driftwood, trees, wildlife, and the synergy between people and the environment. Visitors can see a range of works, from large outdoor installations to more intimate pieces, and there’s a strong sense of craftsmanship and texture throughout.

The gallery is open on weekends (Saturday & Sunday, 10 AM-5 PM), and also takes commissions for private, public, and commercial sculptures.
